
Headaches
While common, most headaches aren’t generally serious and are easily treated with painkillers and lifestyle changes including rest and drinking enough fluids.
Causes
Most headaches fall into one of four categories: vascular headaches – caused by problems affecting the blood vessels, such as migraine headaches; tension headaches – typically brought on by muscle tension; inflammatory headaches – caused by infections or lesions including tumours; and cranial headaches – caused by problems with the cranial nerves, or cranial neuralgias around the head and neck.

Treatment can include one or more of the following:

- Physiotherapy
- Electrotherapy
- Frictions
- Manipulation
- Massage
- Mobilisation
- Stretching and strengthening exercises
